- Stopping all activities that might be causing you pain.
- Practicing good posture when doing all activities, including when seating down.

When to see a doctor
Most cases of bursitis can be treated without any medical intervention. However, there are certain instances when seeing a doctor would be the most prudent thing to do. These include when the pain becomes too much that it affects your regular activities when the pain keeps worsening with continued treatment when you notice a limp or a bulge in the affected area, and when you start to develop fever or chills at night.
